On the day of her 21st birthday, she finds herself at the centre of a scandal - her husband has been secretly giving large sums of money to the mysterious Mrs Erlynne, sparking a flurry of gossip amongst her guests. As rumours swirl and reputations unravel, Lady Windermere faces temptations of her own and discovers that she and Mrs Erlynne are more alike than she ever imagined.
